We are not the biggest show title hunters among Czech mountain dogs, but it is not out of the question to find out the opinions of judges who see different individuals and thus have in their eyes different representatives of the same breed, but also of others. Exhibitions are divided into different types, and the forms of awards depend on this.
1. Regional dog show
A lower value exhibition. There is also a smaller participation and how many times you can be alone in the circle. it is ideal for beginners and if you are not completely confident in showing a dog. They are often happy to explain certain transgressions and point out what to watch out for in higher exhibitions.
Entered titles:
Class winner, Regional winner
2. Regional dog show
Similar to regional shows, it is a lower value show, where there is usually little participation and representation of breeds.
Entered titles
Class winner, Regional winner
3. Club dog show
Exhibitions organized by clubs. In our case, the Czech Mountain Dog Club z.s. Breeds here have their club show where representatives of one breed are judged. Its value is higher than that of regions and regional exhibitions.
Entered titles
Club winner, BOJ, BOV, CAJC, year CAC, CAC
4. Special dog show
Special dog shows are on the same level of value as club shows. Their event is connected with an exhibition of a specific breed, so you will come across names such as Special Exhibition of Czech Mountain Dogs, etc.
Entered titles
Winner of special show, BOJ, BOV, CAJC, year CAC, CAC
5. National Dog Show
The value of this type of exhibition is at a high level. Dogs of all breeds are evaluated here with visitors from all over the Czech Republic. The level of behavior and tolerance for exhibitors' misdeeds is significantly lower here and becomes stricter with the age of the individual. Puppies are also protected here. At the same time, foreign participants can very likely arrive at such a show, and there are often foreign judges as judges, so it is good to practice English so that you can understand the instructions for showing properly. You will hear the very frequent "back and forth" in "up and down".
Entered titles
BOJ, BOV, BOB, BIG, BIS, CAJC, r.CAC, CAC, r.CACIB, CACIB
6. International dog show
A very important dog show with international participation, where all breeds exhibit and expect great competition. Breeds not recognized by the FCI, the so-called NON FCI, can participate in the exhibition, but they will not be allowed to fight for the final titles. This is best described by an example: "Individuals not recognized by the FCI exhibit normally in all classes of their breed, but even the best NON FCI will never win an international because they cannot enter the finals."
Entered titles
BOJ, BOV, BOB, BIG, BIS, CAJC, r.CAC, CAC, r.CACIB, CACIB
