11th annual dog sports Saďák 2023 - Sadská - 8/20/2023

The 11th year of dog sports "in the region of Bohumil Hrabal" through the eyes of the owners of the Czech mountain dog breed. He offered sports categories Children's races, Canicross (CC), Bikejöring (BKJ), Scooter1 (SC1), Scooter2 (SC2).

The August weather offered high daily temperatures over 30 °C, so it was only good that the starts took place in the early hours of the morning from 6:30, when scooters with 2 dogs started, followed by bikers, which were gradually followed by riders with scooters with one dog and canirossars.

All the competitors left and ran in quick succession, and as if the weather predicted the participation of the mountain dogs, the sun remained under the clouds for the duration of the race and the course of the event took place in the pleasant atmosphere of the cool shadows of the sandy forest roads, which, in our opinion, are the specifics of this race. Sometimes treacherous, other times paved sandy routes gradually led us through clearings and forest nooks and crannies. These alternated between sharp turns and long straights with enough space for daring escapes and overtaking.

Well, what are we going to do? In the competition of sprinters and the August morning temperatures, we rode with our firecracker Baileys, mainly to enjoy the race and it worked out great. Baileys left the race still in the colors of the kennel My Secret (Má tajemství).
